Toccati 2024 IMMERSION

Join us for 10 languorous days at sea aboard a boutique ocean liner as we unwind, reflect, & focus on a personal legacy project.

This trip is exclusively available as part of a six month coaching plan in conjunction with Growth Resources.

THE SHIP

Our six month coached journey will culminate with a 10 day retreat-at-sea, aboard the Azamara Journey.

With under 700 passengers and a 1.7-1 passenger-to-crew ratio, the Journey provides an intimate space and a welcome change of pace from mid-market mega-ships. Think boutique hotel at sea — a mid-sized ship with a deck plan that’s intimate but uncrowded, offering everything modern voyagers are looking for — plus some unexpected extras.

But be advised: no death-defying water slides, three-story go-karting, Broadway musicals, or rock-climbing walls this time around.

We sought out Azamara Club Cruises for a different kind of space — just right for this unique journey of rest and reflection. And a trans-Atlantic crossing (with just one Azores-islands port-of-call) creates the perfect setting for a Toccati Immersion: luxuriously undistracted days at sea to rest, reflect, take inventory, look ahead, maybe dream a bit … in the company of a select group of fellow journeyers and kindred spirits.

THE EXPERIENCE

You may be thinking to yourself, ‘What am I going to do for that many days at sea?’ ‘Will it be rough during the crossing?’ ‘Is this going to be all work, no play?’

We’ve completed seven transatlantic crossings, and both agree that this is one of our very favorite kinds of travel experiences.

  • This set-aside time belongs to you, away from the busyness of normal life. You set the pace, prioritizing how you want to focus your time: working on your legacy project, musing with your coach, hanging out with your newly discovered group of travel companions, or perhaps just retreating to your private balcony and staring into the vast blue expanse.

  • While no one can control the weather, today’s ships have sophisticated navigation systems and — on this kind of crossing in particular — have some flexibility to help avoid major storms. And, if the seas do get a bit choppy, remember you are on an ocean liner built to handle it.

  • You’ll board the ship well prepared, drawing on five months of legacy-themed coaching as well as practical groundwork for the trip itself. We can assure you you’ll wish you had more time, not less, before returning stateside.

THE DETAILS

What’s included?

  • 10 d/9n transatlantic crossing on the Azamara Journey

  • Enjoy the views from the private balcony of your Veranda Stateroom

  • All meals, drinks (Yes! Including specialty coffees, waters, and unlimited alcoholic beverages), and an array of entertainment at sea.

  • Wonderfully avoiding that legendary end-of-cruise sticker-shock at checkout, your cruise package includes all taxes, port fees, and select amenities (including 7 days of wifi, two specialty dining experiences, private ship tours, and a private wine tasting), along with all associated gratuities.

  • Even those notorious stateroom gratuities are covered for the entire cruise. Veteran cruisers know only too well that these fees can accumulate thousands of $$ in added fees.

What’s not included?

  • Airfare to Lisbon or transportation home from Boston.

  • Transfers to and from the port.

  • Services you schedule at the Sanctum Spa.

  • Any additional specialty dining.

  • Your cruise includes an extensive beverage package, but you may want to enjoy a premium spirit or a splurge bottle of wine. Should you choose to do so, these will be charged to your stateroom.

Logistics

The ship departs from Lisbon, Portugal on Thursday, October 3. We’ll disembark in Boston, MA on Saturday, October 12.

Plan on arriving in Lisbon no later than noon, Oct 3.

Most participants opt to arrive at least a day or two prior, to enjoy some local culture - and reduce the possibility of “missing the boat” due to travel disruptions.

If you’d like assistance with a pre-cruise Lisbon stay, you are more than welcome to join the Toccati crew that traditionally comes in early to shift gears, catch their breath, and hang out on the front end.

All rooms are double occupancy. If traveling alone, please inquire about a single supplement, or for help finding a roommate if needed.

Payments made toward the Amber Coaching Package including the transatlantic cruise are non-refundable. We highly recommend travel insurance to safeguard your investment against unforeseen complications.

THE IMMERSION EXPERIENCE

Over the years, Toccati’s Immersion experiences have struck a deep chord. We’ve stopped calling these experiences the “trip of a lifetime,” in deference to the lengthening list of Toccati alumni who love to return for another round at their next opportunity.

Some folks have begun to build this set-apart time into their annual calendar: much-anticipated “me-time” for busy executives, active parents, leaders from various spheres who are otherwise — elsewhere — constantly on call.

We curate new experiences based on prior explorations, highlighting unique experiences and exotic locations we personally love. We integrate our field-tested coaching to varying degrees, creating unique, life-impacting experiences of various kinds along the way. Increasingly, over the years - and most specifically this year, the legacy theme is distinctly in focus.

A few years ago we shared our love of transatlantic crossings — and the uniquely undistracted space they create for life-reflection and heart-work — with a core of Toccati alumni, who gave the experience a very enthusiastic “thumbs up!”

Then, in 2022, we did an extended Toccati Bespoke exploration of the Iberian peninsula with a couple of Toccati veterans, and remembered how much we love Lisbon, and Portugal in general.

This year we are combining the best of both: a fun, 4-night “Taste-of-Lisbon” pre-trip in classic Toccati style, for those interested, followed by a restful retreat at sea — the ten-day, nine-night passage by slow-boat to Boston.

Every Toccati Immersion is a powerful bounded open space experience featuring disengagement from everyday routines — space designed to help you shift gears, tune into the journey of your heart, and regain fresh perspective on life back home. We seed the space with good questions and help focus personal and group reflection around selected personal growth and legacy themes.

Toccati Immersions always feature amazing scenery and bucket-list destinations, a restful pace and beautiful spaces, stimulating conversations over great cuisine, personal reflection and group interaction, enriching fellowship and lasting camaraderie.

Rather than try to explain the Toccati magic, the power of life-reflection in set-apart spaces, or the synergy between Toccati alumni, we’ll simply share some images from a prior Toccati Immersion:
